Gamification

Interesting approach, isn't it? Why waste time gaming when you can level your character in "real life", that game your parents constantly want you to play?

The graphics are better than Skyrims, there are more players to interact with than in WoW and your capabilities are more numerous than in Minecraft or Dwarf Fortress.

Which is why I'm gonna play it for a while to level my self-consciousness and find a new approach on long-term playing motivation. I am doing this in New Zealand, where the landscape is especially beautiful. Also, I'll have a fresh start without anyone I know ruining the experience; instead, I'll meet lots of new people.

In Time

Good science-fiction provides merely the setting of the movie, while the plot unfolds the every-day events of the people (or other entities) in front of our eyes and ears. "In Time" deliveres a beautiful premise with a quite remarkably Hollywood-esque story à la Bonny and Clyde; which is still enjoyable because of the aforementioned framework.

Talking a lot, saying nothing. My non-spoiler, low-fat, sugar-free two seconds.
There are various rating-systems for movies, I give this one eleven months out of a year.

The premise in short (if it's not about the plot, it's not a spoiler):
- science makes everyone stop aging at 25 and lives forever.
- to prevent (further) overpopulation, everyone gets a countdown-clock on the upper arm and one year to go. You run out, you die.
- time is money. Two minutes for a coffee, two months for a night in the fancy hotel.

That premise will be stuck in your head for quite a while after watching the movie. Which can be fun and thought-provoking.
